First Term, 2025/2026 Academic Session

A. INTRODUCTION
We are grateful to God Almighty for the successful end of the First Term of the 2025/2026 academic session. We appreciate the support and commitment of our parents, staff, students, the Management Board, the University Management, and all our benefactors.
Important Information for Parents
-
Marked scripts for all classes have been returned to students.
-
First term results will be released online to parents on Friday, 19th December 2025. Parents will be notified via the Parents’ PTA and various class platforms once results are available online.
B. ACADEMIC & NON-ACADEMIC HONOURS / EVENTS
-
African Biology Olympiad Competition
The school emerged 1st position in Africa for males. The school was represented by Odunlade Enoch (SS3 Crimson) and other students. The students were prepared by tutors in the Biology Department, ISL. -
North West Petroleum and Gas Company Secondary School Innovation Competition
ISL emerged 1st position. The students won a cash gift of ₦250,000.
Representatives were Adedeji Victor (SS3 Gold), Akinfenwa Oluwatosin (SS3 Crimson), Ayantola Rebecca (SS3 Topaz), Odukwe Ojinaka (SS3 Crimson), and Aiyewunmi Jemima (SS3 Platinum).
They were accompanied by Mr. O. O. Adigun (ICT Officer, ISL). -
King’s College, Lagos Science Week Quiz Competition
Participants were Adedeji Victor (SS3 Gold), Odunlade Enoch (SS3 Crimson), Godson-Nwankwo Samuel (SS3 Gold), Orehin Faredaeh (SS3 Crimson), and Muibi Halima (SS3 Diamond).
The school emerged 3rd position, accompanied by Mr. Owolabi H. O. -
Nigerian Institution of Surveyors, Lagos State Branch Essay Competition
(Results awaited) -
“I Beg to Differ” Debate Competition
Held live on radio and online. The school qualified for the final stage. -
Teachers’ Day 2025
Celebrated on Monday, 6th October 2025. -
Founders’ Week
Celebrated from Thursday, 6th to Sunday, 9th November 2025, featuring Mental and Financial Wellness Seminars, Cultural and Ankara Day celebrations (including a novelty match), a gala night, and alumni homecoming. -
Prefects’ Investiture
Held on Wednesday, 19th November 2025. -
Christmas Carol
Held on Tuesday, 9th November 2025.

Programme to commemorate 2025 World Mental Health Day at Yaba Psychiatric Hospital.

The Abimbola Aina Omololu-Mulete 7th Annual Lecture in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Breast cancer awareness programme.

Activities celebrating International Day of the Girl Child (in and out of school).

TEDx Event: Celebrating the Male Gender – Redefining Masculinity.

Public lectures at UNILAG on economic awareness and health/well-being.

The Baton Conference: Redefining Manhood, organised by The Recharge Life Centre in conjunction with ISL — a male-only event for students and their fathers, including male staff and other men.
C. SPORTS HONOURS
During the term, the school hosted and participated in several competitions within and outside Lagos.

The Athletic Team participated in invitation school relay competitions and won one gold and one silver medal.

The Football Team participated in the Junior School Football League, hosted at C.M.S. Grammar School, Lagos, finishing second in their group, qualifying for finals next year.

The Boys also participated in the Lagos Basketball League, finishing second in their group.

ISL participated in the AI Tech Under-17 Football Competition at Greensprings Schools, Lagos, emerging 3rd position.
D. SCHOOL FEES FOR SECOND TERM, 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION
School fees payment portal: http://portal.unilag.edu.ng/isl/

Use your ward’s admission number as the username and the surname (lowercase) as the password (unless changed).

Please update your ward’s biodata before proceeding to payment.

Payment can be made via online transfer or card.
For payment assistance, contact Mr. O. O. Adigun on 08034271121 (WhatsApp only).

Students must submit their online payment receipt to their class supervisor.
-
Fees for next term must be paid before Monday, 5th January 2026.
-
Students with outstanding fees will not be allowed into school from that date.
PTA Levy: ₦10,000 per session, payable to Zenith Bank Account No. 1228494811 only.
Do not use the old Access Bank account.
Students owing PTA levy for the 2025/2026 session will not be able to access first-term results.
E. SCHOOL POLICY ON EXTERNAL EXAMINATIONS
Students are not permitted to enrol for external examinations (e.g., GCE, WAEC, NECO) while still enrolled as ISL students. Violations will attract disciplinary action.
F. DISCIPLINE IN THE SCHOOL
The school maintains strict discipline. Violations of school rules attract sanctions as determined by the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC).

Examination malpractice attracts a zero score and two-week suspension.
-
Repeated offences may lead to repeating the academic year or withdrawal from the school.

Bullying leads to suspension.
-
Phones or electronic devices will be confiscated.
-
Fighting attracts suspension.
-
Bringing explosives (e.g., bangers) or contraband attracts one-week suspension.
Students must arrive before 7:45 a.m. for assembly.
School gates close at 8:30 a.m. Late arrivals will face consequences.
Dress Code
-
Boys: Black lace-up leather shoes with black socks. No canvas shoes. Low haircut only (no bushy hair, punk or fade styles).

Girls: Black leather lace-up shoes. Neat hair (12–25 cornrows maximum). No wool, rubber, or attachments.

Wrong shoes will be confiscated.
-
No long fingernails.
-
Students must have required textbooks.
G. ISL ALUMNI, PTA, AND OTHER BENEFACTORS
