International School, UNILAG (ISL): Sale of Application Forms for Transfer Admission into Basic 8 (JSS2) and SS1 (2026/2027 Session)

The sale of application forms for transfer admission into Basic 8 (JSS2) and SS1 of the International School, University of Lagos (ISL) for the 2026/2027 academic session has commenced.
Interested applicants are to note the following:
- Vacancies exist only in Basic 8 (JSS2) and SS1.
- Period of Sales: Application forms are available for sale from Tuesday, July 28 to Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
- Basic Entry Requirements:
i. Age: Candidates seeking admission into Basic 8 (JSS2) must be 11 years old by October 31, 2026, while those seeking admission into SS1 must be 13years old by October 31, 2026. Candidates are expected to bring the original and photocopy of their birth certificate.
ii. Basic 8 (JSS2): Overall average of 50% including English Language and Mathematics in the annual assessment for JS1 (original copy for sighting and photocopy is required for submission).
iii. SS1: Minimum of 50% in overall performance, including 50% in English Language and Mathematics in annual results for Basic 7 (JSS1) and Basic 8 (JSS2). Second-term Basic 9 (JSS3) and BECE results are also required before the admission process is completed (original copies are for sighting, while photocopies will be submitted).
iv. Recommendation form (to be obtained from the office of the Administrative Officer, Records, ISL) must be endorsed by the Principal of the former school, which must also be submitted to the Office of the Vice-Principal (Administration), before an admission letter can be issued.
v. Applicants are to present requirements in 3i – iii to the office of the Vice-Principal (Academics) or the Administrative Officer (Records), for screening.
vi. Successfully screened applicants will be issued a clearance slip with which they can apply or pay for the application form. Application or payment online should not be done until candidates have been screened by the office of the Vice-Principal (Academics) or the Administrative Officer. Payment for the application form is non-refundable and non-transferable.
4. Procedure for Application/Payment:
i. Kindly visit: https/apply.unilag.edu/isl/home
ii. Click on “start new application”
iii. Fill in the required information, click on “I agree to term of use” and submit.
iv. A family ID will be assigned for your future logins to manage your child(ren)’s application.
v. Log in with your family ID and click on “create application”.
vi. Fill in the required details, ensure accuracy of information provided and submit.
vii. Click on “make payment”. The cost of the application is ₦25,000:00 only (non-refundable fee)
viii. Payment can be done online or print payment advice and make payment at any bank of your choice.
ix. After payment, continue application, ensuring that the candidate’s passport photograph and birth certificate are uploaded.
x. Ensure accuracy of all information provided, prior to final submission.
5. Date of Examination: Thursday, September 3, 2026.
TIME: 9.00a.m – 11.00a.m.
6. Venue: International School, University of Lagos (ISL).
7. Mode of Examination: Candidates will be tested in English Language and Mathematics (paper-based).
8. Release of Results: Monday, September 7, 2026.
9. Issuance of Admission Letter and Payment of All Fees: Monday, September 7 & Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
10. Orientation for New (Transfer) Students: Wednesday, September 9 to Thursday, September 10, 2026.

ISL Admissions
To be eligible for admission into Year 7, candidates must be 11 years old by the year of admission.
All prospective candidates under-go entrance examination. Examination location and dates are usually communicated as at when due.
